Communications Director for All The Elements, alumni of the London Interdisciplinary School and freelance marketing and communications specialist.
Developing Visual Practice
My work questions the ways in which stories, narratives and words can shape our realities, providing a tool to interrogate, to imagine and to create more equitable experiences, communities and systems.
Developing from my Master’s in Interdisciplinary Problems and Methods, I have a range of growing visual practices which include pint making, observational sketches and performance art.
I am currently learning about natural dying, permaculture, herbalism, drag performance and continue to experiment with a range of art mediums.
Current Work
Communications Director - All The Elements
All The Elements is a nonprofit community of individuals leading the way on access and representation for underrepresented and systemically-excluded groups in the UK outdoors. Within my role I work to support the community and amplify the incredible stories of those working for change.
Marketing and Communications - Freelance
I support people working for purpose to have their stories heard, particularly focusing on the intersection between outdoors and activism. Developing strategies of all shapes and sizes from local crowdfunders, to global voyages and from podcasts to a 7,767km climate relay.
Where It All Started
In 2020 I rode 2,000km around the UK and interviewed 51 women and non-binary people about what they do in the outdoors and their adventurous lives.
Whilst sharing the experience on social media and creating a podcast with the interviews, I realised the power that stories can have.
Since then I’ve worked for a range of clients developing and managing social media and marketing strategies, built the “Purposeful Adventure Club” to support others sharing their stories online, and completed a Master’s to broaden my understanding of the narratives around us.
The work and medium has varied but the core belief remains, stories are a key to making change.
